My Story

I have over 15 years of experience in higher education, including work as a college admissions counselor, university educator, supervisor, and manager. I currently teach ESL at a globally ranked university. My background in admissions, language education, and leadership allows me to support both students and international professionals pursuing academic and professional opportunities in the United States.

As AI becomes more common in education and the workplace, knowing how to use it without losing your own voice is increasingly important. I help clients use AI responsibly while strengthening their own communication skills and confidence.

For students, I combine expertise in language learning, academic writing, and admissions strategy to help them develop clear, well-structured college essays that authentically reflect who they are.

For international professionals, my supervisory and management experience allows me to provide practical preparation for the U.S. job market. In addition to language and interview skills, I help clients understand cultural expectations that may be unfamiliar to those who have not worked in the United States, including professional communication, workplace norms, and etiquette. My goal is to help clients communicate confidently and feel better prepared for the U.S. professional environment.

저는 15년 넘게 대학 교육 현장에서 학생들과 함께해 왔습니다. 대학 입학 상담부터 영어 교육, 그리고 직원 관리 및 리더십 업무까지 다양한 경험을 쌓았으며, 현재는 세계적인 대학에서 ESL을 가르치고 있습니다. 이러한 경험을 바탕으로 미국 유학이나 취업을 준비하는 분들에게 조금이나마 도움이 되고자 합니다.

AI가 교육과 직장 생활에서 자연스럽게 사용되는 요즘, AI를 잘 활용하는 것도 중요하지만 자신의 생각과 목소리를 잃지 않는 것 역시 중요하다고 생각합니다. 학생과 직장인들이 AI에 지나치게 의존하지 않고, 자신의 영어 실력과 자신감을 함께 키워갈 수 있도록 돕고 있습니다.

학생들에게는 오랜 영어 교육과 대학 입학 상담 경험을 바탕으로, 자신의 이야기와 생각이 자연스럽게 드러나는 대학 입학 에세이를 완성해 갈 수 있도록 함께합니다. 단순히 글을 고쳐주는 것이 아니라, 학생 스스로 자신의 이야기를 더 명확하고 자신 있게 표현할 수 있도록 돕는 것을 중요하게 생각합니다.

미국 취업을 준비하는 분들에게는 영어와 면접 준비뿐만 아니라, 미국 직장 생활에서 자연스럽게 기대되는 커뮤니케이션 방식과 직장 문화, 에티켓 등 쉽게 알기 어려운 부분들도 함께 나누고 있습니다. 저 역시 한국과 미국의 교육 및 직장 환경을 모두 경험했기 때문에, 언어뿐만 아니라 문화적인 차이에서 오는 어려움까지 조금 더 편안하게 준비하실 수 있도록 도와드리고 싶습니다.
